Southern Springs and Pressings support Burley Golf Club Charity event
New Milton based spring manufacturer Southern Springs and Pressings are delighted to be supporting the Burley Golf Club ‘Captains Charity Challenge’ in aid of local charity Bransgore Community First Responders.
The team of six from Burley Golf Club will be taking part in the ‘British Pedal Car Championship’ being held on 29th to 30th June in Shenington, Banbury. The 24-hour race will see the team taking turns to pedal their HPV (Human Powered Vehicle) which is made predominantly from bicycle parts around the track continuously. The event details can be found at www.pedalcarracing.info
Bransgore Community First Responders are run solely by unpaid local volunteers who are trained and dispatched to attend serious medical emergencies in the local area. The team provide a fantastic local service, usually attending an incident within a 20-25 square mile radius, they are able to provide basic life support care until the arrival of an ambulance. You can find out more at: www.bransgorecommunityresponders.org.uk
Southern Springs and Pressings have donated £100 towards their fundraising target and also utilised their manufacturing expertise to provide modifications and repairs to the pedal car itself.
Tim Page, Managing Director said “We are always happy to support local charities and as a manufacturer of parts we were able to help the Burley Golf team with making improvements to their pedal car. We wish them every success for the race day”.
