30th March 2020
We are open for business
Novel Coronavirus, COVID-19
At Southern Springs & Pressings we take seriously the health and safety and welfare of our employees, customers and suppliers. It is our commitment to ensuring that our products and services are consistently delivered to the highest standards our customers and colleagues deserve.
Our priority and responsibility as an employer and supplier are to ensure that we are fully compliant with the laws governing the United Kingdom.
The novel coronavirus, COVID-19 is providing unique challenges on a global scale. The health and welfare of our staff is paramount. Southern Springs & Pressings has extensive supply chain partners within the UK and we are seeking advice from our logistics partners to minimise current impact to the business.
Southern Springs & Pressings will abide by the advice provided by the World Health Organisation and the direct actions of the British Governments.
It is our intention to remain agile in our decision making and provide our clients with concise communications if material supplied to us is affected due to precautionary and preventative measures imposed by the worlds Governments.
Every effort is being made to lessen the impact on our customers. We are abiding by strict rules of cleanliness.
As of Wednesday 11th March 2020, we have proactively requested details from our supply chain to provide an update on their supply and stock capability. To date we have not been informed by our suppliers of any postponements or delays to the supply of materials or services. This however is an ongoing and fluid global event and this may not be the case in the future.
As of Monday 23rd March 2020, the company will restrict access to employees only. Employees will be asked if they have any symptoms relating to COVID-19 and have their temperature checked. If any employee is suspected of showing symptoms they will not enter the premises and be advised to follow the government advice on self-isolation.
